Project:  '2015 Leadership Institute of Ohio (LIO)'
Client:  META Solutions
Provider:  META Solutions

Overview:  One of META's largest annual events was the Leadership Institute of Ohio, or LIO. Superintendents from around the state were encouraged to preserve time for the betterment of themselves and their organizations through time away with other educators across the state. To convey the value and 'sell' school districts and their boards on the concept, leadership requested customized branding and materials for the event. One of 2015's key materials were the hand-cut and hand-delivered informational brochures.

Original logo concepts in collaboration with Illustrator, Andy Talcott. District emblems and insignias in collaboration with illustrator, Jeff Davidson. Some elements were derived from modified stock assets.

T-Shirt / Clothing

Role(s):  Creative Direction, Design Collaboration, Pre-Flighting
Project:  'Navi '15 Shirts'
Client:  TRECA Digital Academy (TDA)
Provider:  META Solutions

Overview:  One of META's biggest customers is TRECA Digital Academy (TDA). META assists them with a number of annual materials and marketing items. One of those is an annual shirt design for the parents, teachers, and staff. This year's shirt debuted the new mascot, "Navi" (the gator). Through coaching, collaborative design, and creative direction, this final layout was chosen. The final print ran on a heather green cotton tee.

Initial logo comp was created via student submissions, refined by illustrator Andy Talcott, and the primary layout concept was proposed by designer, Staci Osborne.

Resumés

Role(s):  Graphic Design, Copywriting
Project:  'Personal Resumé'
Client:  Jen Wilson
Provider:  Freelance

Overview:  One common question you get in the freelance world is, "Can you help me with my resumé?" Friends, family, and acquaintances know the importance of standing out– both professionally and visually. This is one of those fun mediums where the two marry together perfectly. I always enjoy helping people to articulate their professional strengths in a polished, appealing, and noticeable way.

This particular piece stood out among several resumés I did. Since the subject was applying for a position in the world of K-12 education, she felt it important to convey an element of playfulness. She wanted to balance this with a focus on her technical prowess (hence the QR code) and her timeline of experience (hence the angled materials along the footer).

In the end, everything came together into a colorful piece that almost resembled the resume of a creative professional. Hm! What a coincidence.
